For over 30 years, my world was music. As a middle, high school, and university band teacher, I helped students find their rhythm and their voice. But life has a way of shifting the spotlight.
After my stroke, I knew something had to change. My energy, focus, and emotional resilience were shaken. That experience cracked me open, not just physically, but spiritually. It pushed me into the world of holistic wellness and sparked a mission to help others reclaim their health and joy, especially in the second half of life. I became a certified health and life coach through the ICF Continuing Coach Education, and I haven’t looked back.
Now, my work centers around helping people tackle what I once struggled with: energy crashes, brain fog, gut issues, and that frustrating sense of “I don’t feel like myself anymore.” Through personalized coaching and a partnership with a science-backed mental wellness protocols, I support others in finding their way back to vitality, without band-aids or burnout.
But my world isn’t just my work. It revolves around my incredible wife, Sue, my rock and travel partner, and our family. Our daughters Brooke and her husband Justin, Sarah (and her husband Alex), and Jay all fill my heart. And let’s not forget the real bosses of the house: our two dogs, Gretchen and Molly. They remind us daily to live in the moment.
These days, our life is about living well, together. We travel, we laugh, we embrace this new season with purpose. My mission is to help others do the same, because wellness isn’t just something you chase. It’s something you build, day by day, from the inside out.
